In Unit 1 we've started to get to know each other. We spoke about names and how important they can be for each one of us. We listened to you to different songs:
Say my name, by Bebe Rexha, David Guetta and J. Balvin
A Boy Named Sue, by Jonnhy Cash
In the comments below, you can share your thoughts about your own name and how you feel about it. All your contributions will be counted for your mark.
My name is Pau Comas. My name means peace in catalan, even though that wasn't the reason why my parents chose my name. The only reason my parents have always given to me as an explanation of the choice of my name is that it is short and you can't get confused with the surname. So my parents would have also liked to call me Marc, but MarC Comas could be confused for Mar Comas(which would be a girl's name). But I have nothing to regret to parents, because I love my name and I cannot imagine myself being called in any other way.
Pau, I like your comment; it's well written and includes personal details. Good use of verb tenses (have always given..., would have also liked...). Remember that nationalities or names of languages (such as Catalan) are written with capital letter.
